Visions of the North West Exhibition at The Portico Library Manchester
Ross's latest exhibition - Visions of the North West - is his first exhibition in 2010, as well as being his first ever exhibition to take place in a public space in the UK The exhibition will take place under the recently restored dome of the historic 19th Century Portico Library, in Manchester's City Centre, throughout June 2010.
The exhibition is entirely dedicated to the familiar landscapes and landmarks of Northern England, featuring paintings that capture the very scenery and structures that once provided the backdrop to Ross's childhood.
Visions of the North West presents a cache of artwork that encapsulates the Artist's visualization of his home turf - the result is typically colourful and original. Ross sees and captures the unique pride and culture of the region, with an exhibition that depicts many cherished and familiar landmarks - Blackpool Tower, Tatton Hall, Salford Quays, Manchester Town Hall, the Lowry Centre and The Portico.
Visions of the North West features a mix of new acrylic and watercolour pieces by Ross and will be on display at the charming, antique Portico Library, on Manchester's Mosley Street throughout the month of June. The exhibition previews on Wednesday June 02nd, from 6-8pm, and then runs Mon-Fri 09.30 - 16.30, with free admission.
