Upcoming Ross Eccles Exhibition at The Portico Library and Gallery
Ross has been invited to exhibit a selection of his works at The Portico Library and Gallery in Manchester, June 2010, and is currently working on a series of new North-West/Manchester scenes that will be unveiled at the upcoming exhibition.
The Portico Library and Gallery, on Mosley Street in Manchester’s city centre, is an elegant Grade II listed building, designed and built by architect Thomas Harrison in 1806. It is probably England’s oldest subscription Library, with a rich history and a dazzling array of famous members such as Sir Robert Peel and Charlotte Bronte. The Portico Gallery regularly works with well-known art agents and artists to hosts cultural events and exhibitions in their 1000sq ft exhibition space, which is situated directly under the historic building’s impressive glass dome.
The Portico Gallery exhibition will be Ross’s first exhibition to be held in a public building and will be open to the public throughout the month of June 2010. We will be sure to bring you more news of the exhibition as details emerge.
The Portico Gallery is situated at 57 Mosley Street, Manchester, M2 3HY (close to the Manchester Art Gallery) and is open to the public free of charge, Monday to Friday 9.30am – 4.30pm.
