SCOOP Art Auction

The SCOOP Foundation is holding its 3rd Annual Art Auction at the Centre for Creative Practices (Pembroke Street) on Sunday September 11th at 3pm.

SCOOP is a young not for profit charity that seek to Support Children Out Of Poverty by assisting their educational needs and supporting the communities around them. SCOOP is based in Ireland but their current focus is on helping underprivileged children in India and Cambodia, with a view to working in more countries as the charity grows.

Last year the SCOOP auction raised €21,000 in order to build a school/community centre in Cambodia and this year's auction will help to raise much needed funding in order to develop that same school.

Some of the money raised will also go to fund a school for street children in Varanasi, India, where SCOOP have now been working for over 2 years. The new school and centre in Cambodia will offer free and fun English classes for up to 350 children and teenagers as well as vocational training, art classes, drama classes, computer lessons, games & activities etc and the chance for children and their families living in social isolation to break the poverty trap.

Ross has donated his painting 'Eveningtime Downtown' (2007) to the upcoming auction in order to help SCOOP raise crucial funds for their worthwhile causes. ‘Eveningtime Downtown' is a 20 x 16 inch acrylic work from 2007, and will be on view at the Centre for Creative Practices from September 8th - the auction takes place at 3pm on Sunday 11th of September in the same venue.

We would be delighted if you could join SCOOP for their 3rd Annual Art Auction to help raise funding to support disadvantaged children in the East. Most of the art on display is being sold with no reserve and you might just find yourself a beautiful piece to add to your art collection while also helping to raise essential funds for an admirable charity!

The event will be launched with a drinks reception on Thursday the 8th of September, kicking off 4 days of art in the Pembroke Street venue, culminating with the Art Auction on September 11th at 3pm. It should be a fun, enjoyable event for all and we wish SCOOP every success with this year's auction.

A pdf catalogue of all the art to be auctioned off on September 11th is available now on request.
