Ross donates another artwork to Connolly Hospital

In late September 2010 Ross presented his 'Hill City' painting to the staff and patients of Connolly Hospital Dublin.

The painting is a 2008, 12-piece canvas measuring over 10 feet in length and 6 feet in height, with a contemporary urban feel, featuring loosely painted skyscrapers reaching upwards towards a vivid, abstract sky. Hill City is typical of Ross's distinctive and free-flowing style and had been previously exhibited in both Ireland and the UK before it was donated to Connolly Hospital.

This is the second artwork that Ross has donated to the Hospital, after receiving treatment there in late 2009. The painting was officially presented to staff at the Hospital on Friday September 24th 2010 and now hangs in the main foyer of the Hospital where it shall remain on permanent loan.

The paintings that Ross has donated to the Hospital are a thank you to the many doctors, nurses and staff there for all their hard work and dedication. Ross sees it as a way of giving back to the Hospital and the community, which he believes to be even more important during such hard times as these, and hopes that the artworks will bring a sense of joy and hope to the patients, staff and visitors to the Hospital.
